Mission

Nestled in the heart of Costa Mesa's iconic LAB Anti-Mall, Ruin Bar is an eclectic cocktail sanctuary inspired by the legendary ruin bars of Budapest. Hidden behind a pair of weathered shutter doors, the whimsical hideaway is filled with vintage curiosities, collected treasures, and a lush garden patio that invites guests to slow down and explore.

Behind the bar, an ever-evolving cocktail program showcases an unapologetic dedication to house-made infusions, seasonal ingredients, and imaginative craftsmanship. Part neighborhood gathering place, part curiosity cabinet, Ruin Bar is a destination designed to reward repeat visits—where every cocktail, every corner, and every conversation offers something new to discover.

The LAB stands for “Little American Business,” reflecting both its identity and its mission. Founded in 1993 when a former Costa Mesa night-vision goggle factory was repurposed by The LAB Team—with current steward Linda Sadeghi—it emerged to break retail monotony.

Built as an unconventional indoor-outdoor haven for cafes, dining, and shops, it now stands as the epicenter of Orange County's SoBeCa Arts District, celebrating South Bristol Entertainment, Culture & Art.
